What We Do....

Welcome to our blog A Tryst With Texts

If you ever…

Struggle to finish self help classics,

Feel overwhelmed by all the new books that are released,

Can’t decide which book to read next,

…or simply don’t have time to read all the books you want, we can help you out!

What we deliver to you is a growing collection of book summaries ranging from bestselling business books to perennial self-help classics and everything in between;

As the Pareto Law applies to books as well, we are staunch believers of quality over quantity: 20% of the best books give you 80% of all that you need to know.

These summaries are exceptionally intelligible  so that you won’t have any problem understanding the key principles of the book, that too in the quickest way possible.

We believe that, if you want to live a good life, you need to commit to lifelong learning and that includes reading great books and knowing how amazing ideas tend to quickly evaporate once a book has been read cover to cover and consigned to the shelf. So, we decided to distill the idea  into a summary so that others can benefit with insights that can be applied in five minutes.

We can’t promise that they’re the best summaries on the internet, but we can promise that we’ve poured hours into making them the best  summaries we possibly can.

We hope it inspires you to grow from novice readers to a book savant.

Read wisely. Read widely. Read well, and  you’ll read gladly for the rest of your life.

ABOUT THE BOOK

IKIGAI

The book touches the various aspects of life which can help us achieve a long happy life. It is based on ancient, well practised Japanese technique called — IKIGAI. The word derives from iki, meaning life and kai, meaning the realisation of hopes and expectations. A reason to jump out of bed each morning!

The people of Japan believe that everyone has an ikigai. And according to the residents of the Japanese island of Okinawa – the world’s longest-living people – finding it is the key to a longer and more fulfilled life. Inspiring and comforting, this book will give you the life-changing tools to uncover your personal ikigai. It will show you how to leave urgency behind, find your purpose, nurture friendships and throw yourself into your passions.

"GOOD FRIENDS, GOOD BOOKS AND SLEEPY
CONSCIENCE: THIS IS THE IDEAL LIFE"

Mark Twain
